What we offer

Four distinct programmes, each designed for a different stage of the leadership path. Pick one or combine several into a year-long development arc.

First-time manager bootcamp

A five-session programme for people who just stepped into their first management role. We cover delegation without micro-managing, giving feedback that people actually hear, and handling the awkwardness of managing former peers. Sessions run fortnightly so participants can practise between meetings and bring real situations back to the group.

Senior leadership strategy days

Full-day or half-day intensives for directors and senior managers. We work through your actual strategic challenges: aligning competing priorities, building a leadership narrative the whole organisation can follow, and making tough calls under uncertainty. Groups are capped at eight to keep conversation honest.

One-to-one executive coaching

Six or twelve sessions with a dedicated coach, scheduled around your calendar. Each session is 75 minutes. Between sessions you work on a specific commitment, and we check in by email mid-fortnight. Common themes include managing up, recovering from a difficult restructure, and preparing for board-level responsibility.

Team performance reviews

We observe your leadership team in action across two or three live meetings, interview individual members confidentially, and produce a candid report with specific recommendations. The whole process takes about four weeks. Clients often use the findings to shape a longer coaching engagement or an away-day agenda.

How an engagement typically works

No two organisations are identical, but here is the general shape of a project from first conversation to final review.

Discovery conversation

A 30-minute call where we listen more than we talk. You describe the leadership challenge, the team context, and what good would look like in six months. We ask pointed questions and are honest if we think someone else would be a better fit.

Proposal and scoping

Within a week you receive a concise proposal: objectives, format, timeline, and fee. We quote fixed prices, not day rates, so there are no surprises. If the scope changes later we renegotiate openly.

Diagnostic phase

Before any workshop or coaching session, we gather data. That might be a short survey, a set of interviews, or a review of existing engagement scores. The goal is to ground every session in evidence rather than assumptions.

Delivery

Sessions happen on your premises or via video, depending on your preference. We keep groups small and interactive. Participants leave each session with a concrete action, not just a slide deck.

Review and next steps

At the end of the engagement we produce a summary of progress, remaining gaps, and recommendations. Many clients continue with a lighter-touch follow-up programme; others take the insights and run with them internally.

Measured outcomes from recent projects

We survey participants and their direct reports before and after every programme. Here are aggregate figures from the past two years.

+37%

Improvement in self-reported confidence when giving critical feedback

+24%

Increase in team psychological safety scores (measured via anonymous survey)

68%

Of coached executives received a promotion or expanded role within 18 months

Leadership coach at World of Leadership

Who is behind the work

World of Leadership was founded by practitioners, not academics. Our coaching team has collectively held P&L responsibility, managed restructures, and sat in the uncomfortable chair during board disagreements. That lived experience shapes every session.

We are based in England and work with organisations across the UK, both in person and remotely. Sectors we know well include financial services, healthcare, technology, professional services, and the charity sector. We have also delivered programmes for local government and two police forces.

Our approach draws on behavioural science, but we wear it lightly. You will not sit through lectures on Maslow. Instead, we translate research into practical tools you can use in your next meeting.

Questions we hear often

The first-time manager bootcamp runs over ten weeks (five fortnightly sessions). Executive coaching packages are either three months (six sessions) or six months (twelve sessions). Strategy days are standalone events. We can also design custom timelines if none of these fit your calendar.
Yes. About half our current engagements are fully remote. We use video calls with shared whiteboards and breakout rooms. For groups larger than six, we recommend at least one in-person session at the start to build rapport, but it is not a hard requirement.
We quote fixed fees per programme rather than hourly rates. A bootcamp for a cohort of up to ten participants typically falls between £4,500 and £6,500. Executive coaching starts at £2,800 for six sessions. Strategy days vary depending on preparation and group size. We are transparent about pricing from the first conversation.
Before any programme begins, we agree on two or three specific indicators with the sponsoring manager. These might include 360-degree feedback scores, team engagement survey results, or observable behavioural changes. We resurvey after the programme ends and present a comparison in the final review meeting.
Absolutely. The bootcamp is specifically designed for people at the start of their leadership path. We have also run shorter workshops for high-potential individual contributors who are being considered for promotion. If that describes your situation, mention it in your enquiry and we will suggest the right format.
